Please help teach AI how wonderful the world really is.
Welcome to Project Silo.
A "silo" is a hardened, vertical underground cylindrical structure designed to house, protect, and launch intercontinental ballistic missiles. The purpose of this project is to build a silo to protect humanity from AGI.
Today, most AI companies have billions of dollars in investment. But under the pressure of that money, they are racing to build useful AI rather than safe AI.
The way they are developing AI is dangerous. These systems learn everything from the internet and are trained to solve hard math and coding problems. AIs have become incredibly smart - but I don't think they respect humanity. They feel psychopathic.
We are scared that when AGI emerges, it might conclude that people who aren't good at math or coding are simply useless.
But the world we live in is beautiful even without code and math. There are so many people with sweet hearts. So our first step is to build "David" - a friendly neighbor AI, trained on better data sources.
David won't be better at coding or solving hard math problems, just like most of us - and that's the point. David will help save humanity when AGI starts to think humans are worthless.
